Neuromancer: Wintermute

This is the second of my Neuromancer triptych—focusing on cyberspace and the artificial intelligence, Wintermute. The first in this series is Case and the last one is Babylon.

I had quite a bit of trouble with the deck at first. I'm no product designer, and I couldn't decide between a chunky-80's-cyberpunk-look or a proper minimal-futuristic-look. When I was assembling some furniture, the instructions gave me an idea—exploded-view diagram! I didn't have to worry as much about what the deck looked like as a whole, and I got to show the city-like circuitry guts. In the end I wound up with like a... PS4 you can put cartridges into XD.
Call me lazy, but its just so much easier to place geometric shapes & warp them with goofy perspectives in Blender.
"And in the bloodlit dark behind his eyes, silver phosphenes boiling in from the edge of space, hypnagogic images jerking past like film compiled from random frames."I had a lot of fun in Photoshop coming up with the boiling phosphenes (what you see when you rub your eyes real hard.)
